How to be more creative?

It's simple, to be more creative, you have to 'create' more often. The more often you practice a skill, the more perfect you are with that skill. And creativity is just a skill. However, it cannot be simply taught. But it can always be triggered. The following is a guide which might help you trigger your creativity.

Maintain a notebook with three sections. Or you can choose a file with three sections, and fill your notes inside. The following are the three sections you have to maintain inside the notebook:

1. KEEDA corner - A section which you will fill daily with random words and ideas. The word KEEDA is Hindi for 'ants'. The ideas is, that you infuse little packets of creativity into this section of the book. You will right five random words or phrases (called KEEDAs), which should mean something out of the book by their own.

For example, 'elephant', 'orange', 'genocide in Germany', 'Samuel Beckett' and 'IKEA chairs'. Number the KEEDAs in a systematic order, and do this religiously. It will help if you just doodle a small picture relating to the KEEDAs you draw.

2. Ideas torrent - Now this section heavily depends on why you want to be creative. If you want more business ideas, then you will fill out the pages with the many business ideas you get in the process of treading the Earth and creating your KEEDAs.

You might think of problems you want to solve, such as hunger problems, space problems (both Cosmological and Geological), poverty problems, service problems, instrument problems. Keep writing and writing and refining your ideas as much as possible.

Doodle the visual form of your products and plans. It doesn't matter if the ideas are childish or crazy, because they are sometimes these ideas that get most successful. After you have filled a lot of this section and you have spent a lot of time behind it, reflect. 

Look for your old notes, analyze which idea will make you richest, or help the society the most in the most economic way. The same goes for prospective artists, designers, game creators, writers and future gods of the most creative worlds to be discovered by mankind.

3. Insight into reality - Over here, make a list of news, current events, current technologies, current creations and creations from the past. Be updated and update your book. Try to read and learn as much as you can about the stuff you want to create.

The reason you have to do this is that creativity is the application of imagination to the real world. Building castles in the air is not enough; you need to see and learn how castles are usually built.

Choose a convenient place to write your book, but don't constrain yourself. You may roam around the city or sit in coffee shops while writing the book. Go to different places and look at a new scenery as often as possible.

I myself try to create business ideas, because I want to get rich as soon as possible. I think of ways I can earn money from, and note them down. I describe each business idea in detail in my folder (a folder is much easier to manage, considering the three sections. 

You can totally innovate from this book design to something similar, since it should be YOUR creativity book. Have fun, and try to find something you like.
